Payments for bands, DJs and performers

Take the booking deposit that holds your date.

Bands, DJs and performers agree most bookings by message, then wait for a deposit before the date is really theirs. Send one link for the deposit and a second for the balance before the gig. Couples, venues and promoters pay from their own wallet, wherever they are, and stablecoins settle to a wallet you control. This is for the act being paid.

Before you read on: we publish every business type we take and every one we refuse — 28 we take, 11 we refuse.

Why this is harder than it looks

A date to hold, a client far away, and a night to agree on.

The deposit is what holds the date

Until it is paid, the date is still open, and a Saturday in summer can only be sold once.

Send the deposit link as soon as the booking is agreed, and the balance as a second link before the gig. Every link is a single payment of a fixed amount.

The booking comes from another country

Couples marrying abroad, and promoters booking a touring act, are often in a different country from the act.

They pay from their own wallet, from wherever they are, with your booking number as the description.

An argument about the night

In this trade, disputes are about a cancelled date, a late start or how long the set ran.

Your booking terms decide what, if anything, is owed back. Returning any of it is a payment you send back yourself. Zoyn has no refund button.

Booking deposits and balances settle to a wallet only you control.

Two limits worth knowing. If your own account with us is under review, automatic payouts pause until that is resolved. And a buyer paying by card can be declined, or asked to prove who they are, before the money is sent — a payment that doesn't happen, never money taken back from you afterwards.

How it works

One booking, a deposit and a balance, then the gig.

1

Agree the booking

Your terms say the date, the set, the deposit, when the balance is due, and what happens if the date is cancelled.

2

Send the deposit link

The client pays from their own wallet, or by card where available — buyer eligibility depends on country, payment method, provider, and compliance checks.

3

The payment reaches your wallet

After the required network confirmations, in the currency the link was set in.

Common questions

What a performer asks first.

A promoter is booking us for a tour.

Send one link for each date, or one for the whole run, as your agreement says. The promoter pays you. You take the payments for your act, and Zoyn never pays artists on anyone's behalf.

Can I post one link for everyone at a gig?

No. Every link takes one payment, from one payer. It is for a booking fee, not for selling tickets to a crowd.

We are a band with several members.

The booking is paid to the wallet of the business that applied. How the band shares it out is up to you. Zoyn pays nobody else.

What does it cost me?

A percentage of each payment, agreed with you in writing before you go live: crypto payments start at 0.75%, and card payments, if your business can take them, have a separate, higher price. No monthly platform fee and no setup fee. Network fees, and any extra charge for how your customer pays, are separate. Your customer pays them on top of your price and sees their total before they pay.

Will you take my act?

We publish every business type we take and every one we refuse, and every application is reviewed before it goes live. We don't promise a timeline we can't keep.

Playing weddings abroad? Read the page for destination weddings. Organising the whole event instead? Read the page for events. Not sure we'd take your business? See exactly how we decide.

Send your next booking deposit as one link.

Apply today, and settle each payment to a wallet only you control after the required network confirmations. Every application is reviewed.

Zoyn is software. It is not a bank, a payment processor, a payment gateway, a money transmitter or a money services business. Zoyn is never the seller in a sale (the "merchant of record"). Zoyn never holds a shop's money, and does not decide how long a payment company may hold it. When a customer pays by card or bank, the payment company handles that payment under its own terms and may hold it for a short time. The money then goes to the shop's own payment contract once the payment network has confirmed it.

Businesses can be based in 64 jurisdictions. A US state stays open when at least one checkout partner still serves buyers there. Customers can pay from 130+ countries through the checkout providers we connect to; which countries customers can pay from is set by those providers, not by Zoyn, and may change without notice. Not available in sanctioned jurisdictions: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
