Take the booking deposit in January, spend it in January.

Promoters and venues take deposits and booking fees months before the doors open — a venue hire deposit, a performer booking, an exhibitor's stand fee. Card companies treat that gap as delayed delivery and hold funds against it, which means production costs land before the money does. Being paid to a wallet you control closes the gap. Each payment link is for a single payment, so you send one link to each client, performer or exhibitor who owes you.

Why this category gets penalised

The problem is the gap between paying and delivering.

Deposits held until after the event

Advance booking is a delayed-delivery category: every deposit taken ahead of the date is exposed for the whole run-up. Reserves and settlement deferred until after the event are common card company responses.

Settlement is treated as final only after the required network confirmations, and that confirmed leg is not a card-network dispute rail, so deposit and booking money is available for production spend as it arrives.

One postponement, a wall of disputes

A rescheduled date can turn every deposit and booking fee into simultaneous card disputes, each pulled back first and charged for regardless of outcome — the worst possible moment for a cash-flow shock.

Because the payer sends the money rather than having it taken, no settled deposit can be reversed by the buyer's bank, so your booking terms govern a postponement rather than a string of issuer decisions.

Settling up on the night

Artists and crew expect to be paid at the end of the show, but card settlement arrives in a later batch, so the venue fronts it and reconciles afterwards.

Booking money reaches your wallet after the required network confirmations, not in a later card batch.

How it works

One payment, settled to a wallet you control.

How a payment settles through ZoynA customer pays a payment link. The payment reaches a settlement contract, which divides it in fixed proportions set when it was deployed and pays the merchant’s own wallet and the platform fee directly. Zoyn sits outside the flow of funds.CustomerHostedcheckoutSplitcontractYour walletPlatform feeZoyn (config)Funds never pass through Zoyn
1

Create a link for each booking

Set the fixed amount and the event reference — a venue deposit, a performer booking, or an exhibitor's stand fee. Each link is for a single payment, so send one link to each person who owes you.

2

Your client pays their way

Card or crypto on a hosted checkout. Card availability depends on the buyer's location, currency, and available checkout providers. Card-funded payments are handled by the checkout provider — card data never reaches you.

3

Your share is fixed up front

The shares are fixed when your payments are set up: your share and the platform fee. Every payment follows them exactly, and each one can be checked on a public record.

4

USDC lands in your wallet

Final after the required network confirmations, into a wallet you control. Zoyn is not in the flow of funds.

Jurisdictions we cannot serve

We cannot onboard merchants operating from comprehensively sanctioned jurisdictions. A US state stays open when at least one checkout partner still serves buyers there. We do not hold ourselves out as licensed anywhere.

Wallet addresses you'll be paid to are checked against sanctions lists when you enter them, and re-checked every day after that.

Common questions

What events & entertainment merchants ask first.

If we cancel a show, how do refunds work?

You send them from your own wallet, at the amounts and on the schedule your booking terms set out. Because nothing was pulled from the people who paid, Zoyn does not reverse any of it, and no card-scheme dispute fee applies on wallet payments, so a cancellation costs you the amount paid rather than the amount paid plus a chargeback bill. For card payments, your payment provider handles card disputes with the cardholder's bank.

Do you hold our deposits before the event?

No. Zoyn is not a payment processor, never takes custody, and does not defer settlement to the event date. Payments pass automatically from the payer to a wallet you control, and Zoyn never holds them.

Legal & regulatory disclosures

Zoyn is software. It is not a bank, a payment processor, a payment gateway, a money transmitter or a money services business. Zoyn is never the seller in a sale (the "merchant of record"). Zoyn never holds a shop's money, and does not decide how long a payment company may hold it. When a customer pays by card or bank, the payment company handles that payment under its own terms and may hold it for a short time. The money then goes to the shop's own payment contract once the payment network has confirmed it.

Businesses can be based in 64 jurisdictions. A US state stays open when at least one checkout partner still serves buyers there. Customers can pay from 130+ countries through the checkout providers we connect to; which countries customers can pay from is set by those providers, not by Zoyn, and may change without notice. Not available in sanctioned jurisdictions: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
