Onboarding walkthrough
The steps between signing up and submitting your application.
After you create an account, the onboarding steps collect everything needed to review your application. Progress is saved as you go; you can leave and come back.
Step 1 — Business details
- Legal business name.
- Country of operation. For US businesses, your state is also required. A US state stays open when at least one checkout partner still serves buyers there.
- Industry, chosen from a category list. Some industries are not supported — see Prohibited industries.
- A sanctions attestation confirming you are not operating from or on behalf of a sanctioned country or party.
Step 2 — Payout wallet
Paste the address of the wallet where your money should arrive. Use a wallet only you control. Not one an exchange holds for you. You can change it later — see Changing your payout wallet.
Step 3 — Agreements
The agreements are read live from Zoyn's legal register, so the screen always shows what you are actually being asked to accept. A shop accepts two documents at sign-up: the Master Services Agreement — which brings in the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, and the Data Processing Agreement by reference, with the exact version and a fingerprint of each one's text recorded alongside your signature — and the Card Payments Agreement. Sales partners accept the Partner (ISO) Agreement instead. Sanctions, fee, key-holder, and business-category terms that used to be separate documents are now sections inside these. If this and the screen ever differ, the screen is right.
This is a click-accept ceremony: every document is listed with its full text one click away on the same page, and a single click — Agree and continue — records your acceptance; that act is your electronic signature. No signing service is involved, nothing is emailed to you to sign, and there is no countersigned PDF at the end — Zoyn holds none, for anyone.
You also confirm your full legal name, and it must match the applicant name from step 1. Capitalisation and spacing do not matter; spelling does.
For each agreement Zoyn keeps an acceptance record: which version you accepted and when, who accepted it, the network and browser it came from, and a fingerprint of the exact text you were shown. You can read that record at any time under Settings → Organization, in Documents you signed.
Step 4 — Submit
Submitting locks your application and places it in the review queue. See Approval timeline for what happens next.
After approval — Checkout account
Connecting your checkout account is no longer part of the pre-approval steps: it happens once your application is approved. You'll paste your project ID and Secret Key from your own checkout account; we fetch the Client ID for you, both are verified live, the Secret Key sets up your payment notifications on that account, and it is then stored encrypted — kept sealed, and opened only to do things on your own project for you, like adding your payment address to your allowed list. You can revoke it at any time. See Checkout account: verifying and rotating.
