Payments for motor factors

Stop reading card numbers down the phone.

Motor factors, trade parts counters and parts jobbers take orders from garages by phone and send the parts out in a van. Send a link with the order instead, and stablecoins settle to a wallet you control. Each invoice is its own link, and there is no automatic monthly charge.

Why this is harder than it looks

Phone orders, a van on the road, and invoices that wait.

Orders come in by phone

A garage rings for a part, and someone takes card details down the phone or sends the part and hopes the invoice is paid.

Send the garage one link for the order, with the invoice number as the description. Every link is a single payment of a fixed amount.

The part is on the van before it is paid

The driver arrives with the part, and the money is still a promise.

Send the link when the order is taken, so the garage can pay before the van arrives or when it does. They pay from their own wallet, or by card where available — buyer eligibility depends on country, payment method, provider, and compliance checks.

Trade invoices wait until the end of the month

Garages on account pay a statement at the end of the month, and some pay late.

Send each invoice, or the month's statement, as its own link. There is no automatic monthly charge, so nothing is taken until the garage pays the link.

Trade orders and statements settle to a wallet only you control.

Two limits worth knowing. If your own account with us is under review, automatic payouts pause until that is resolved. And a buyer paying by card can be declined, or asked to prove who they are, before the money is sent — a payment that doesn't happen, never money taken back from you afterwards.

How it works

The order, the link, the van.

1

Take the order

The part, the garage and the invoice number, by phone or at the counter.

2

Send one link for the invoice

The garage pays from their own wallet, or by card where available — buyer eligibility depends on country, payment method, provider, and compliance checks.

3

The payment reaches your wallet

After the required network confirmations, in the currency the link was set in.

Common questions

What a motor factor asks first.

Can I charge my trade customers automatically each month?

No. Zoyn keeps no card on file and charges nothing automatically. Send the month's statement as its own link.

Can I give garages credit through this?

No. Any credit terms are your own, agreed with your customer. A link is one payment for a fixed amount, paid when the garage pays it.

A garage returns a part. How do I give the money back?

Your returns terms decide what is owed. A payment taken this way is a full payment, so returning any of it is a payment you send back yourself. Zoyn has no refund button.

What does it cost me?

A percentage of each payment, agreed with you in writing before you go live: crypto payments start at 0.75%, and card payments, if your business can take them, have a separate, higher price. No monthly platform fee and no setup fee. Network fees, and any extra charge for how your customer pays, are separate. Your customer pays them on top of your price and sees their total before they pay.

Will you take my motor factor business?

We publish every business type we take and every one we refuse, and every application is reviewed before it goes live. We don't promise a timeline we can't keep.

Selling parts online? Read the page for online car parts shops. Supplying classic and restoration parts? Read the page for classic car parts. Not sure we'd take your business? See exactly how we decide.

Zoyn is software. It is not a bank, a payment processor, a payment gateway, a money transmitter or a money services business. Zoyn is never the seller in a sale (the "merchant of record"). Zoyn never holds a shop's money, and does not decide how long a payment company may hold it. When a customer pays by card or bank, the payment company handles that payment under its own terms and may hold it for a short time. The money then goes to the shop's own payment contract once the payment network has confirmed it.

Businesses can be based in 64 jurisdictions. A US state stays open when at least one checkout partner still serves buyers there. Customers can pay from 130+ countries through the checkout providers we connect to; which countries customers can pay from is set by those providers, not by Zoyn, and may change without notice. Not available in sanctioned jurisdictions: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
