Payments for international, private and boarding schools

Take school fees from parents, wherever in the world they live.

International, private and boarding schools often bill parents who live in a different country from their child, sometimes a third country altogether. Send one link per pupil for each term's fees, and one for the registration deposit, with a reference number as the description. Parents pay from their own wallet, wherever they are, and stablecoins settle to a wallet you control.

Why this is harder than it looks

Parents far away, fees every term, and a deposit that holds a place.

The parent is not where the school is

Expatriate and overseas families often pay from a bank in another country, in another currency.

Send the link to whoever pays. They pay from their own wallet, or by card where available — buyer eligibility depends on country, payment method, provider, and compliance checks.

Fees fall due each term

Each term's invoice can change, with boarding, trips or other extras added.

Send one link per pupil per term, set to that term's amount. Zoyn keeps no card on file and charges nothing automatically.

A place held by a deposit

A registration or acceptance deposit holds the place, and your withdrawal terms decide what happens to it.

Send the deposit as its own link. If a pupil leaves, your terms decide what is owed. Zoyn has no refund button: any refund you owe is a payment you send from your own wallet.

Fees and deposits settle to a wallet only you control.

Two limits worth knowing. If your own account with us is under review, automatic payouts pause until that is resolved. And a buyer paying by card can be declined, or asked to prove who they are, before the money is sent — a payment that doesn't happen, never money taken back from you afterwards.

How it works

One pupil, one term, one link.

1

Set the fees and your terms

Your terms say what each term's fee covers, when it is due, and how much notice a family gives before a pupil leaves.

2

Send one link per pupil per term

The description holds your reference or invoice number, never a child's name. Parents pay from their own wallet, or by card where available — buyer eligibility depends on country, payment method, provider, and compliance checks.

3

The payment reaches your wallet

After the required network confirmations, in the currency the link was set in.

Common questions

What a school bursar asks first.

Two parents each pay part of the fees.

Send each parent their own link for their share. Every link is a single payment of a fixed amount.

An employer pays the fees for a family it has moved abroad.

Send the employer its own link each term, with your invoice number as the description. Zoyn keeps no card on file and charges nothing automatically.

What should the link description say?

Your reference or invoice number. Never a child's name.

What does it cost me?

A percentage of each payment, agreed with you in writing before you go live: crypto payments start at 0.75%, and card payments, if your business can take them, have a separate, higher price. No monthly platform fee and no setup fee. Network fees, and any extra charge for how your customer pays, are separate. Your customer pays them on top of your price and sees their total before they pay.

Will you take my school?

We publish every business type we take and every one we refuse, and every application is reviewed before it goes live. We don't promise a timeline we can't keep.

Taking tuition deposits from older students abroad? Read the page for international student tuition. Running a language school? Read the page for language schools. Not sure we'd take your business? See exactly how we decide.

Send next term's fees as one link per pupil.

Apply today, and settle each payment to a wallet only you control after the required network confirmations. Every application is reviewed.

Zoyn is software. It is not a bank, a payment processor, a payment gateway, a money transmitter or a money services business. Zoyn is never the seller in a sale (the "merchant of record"). Zoyn never holds a shop's money, and does not decide how long a payment company may hold it. When a customer pays by card or bank, the payment company handles that payment under its own terms and may hold it for a short time. The money then goes to the shop's own payment contract once the payment network has confirmed it.

Businesses can be based in 64 jurisdictions. A US state stays open when at least one checkout partner still serves buyers there. Customers can pay from 130+ countries through the checkout providers we connect to; which countries customers can pay from is set by those providers, not by Zoyn, and may change without notice. Not available in sanctioned jurisdictions: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
