A deposit to save the place, then the tuition before day one
Students pay a deposit to save a place in the next cohort, then the rest of the tuition before the first class. The two payments can be weeks apart, and the second is by far the larger one.
Send two links: one for the deposit and one for the tuition, each a fixed amount with your invoice number as the description. There is no payment plan, and nothing is charged automatically.
Your students live in other countries and other time zones
A remote cohort can bring together students from many countries. The tuition is one of the largest sums they will ever send to a school they have only met on a video call.
The student pays from their own wallet, from wherever they are, in the currency the link was set in. A card option may also appear where available — buyer eligibility depends on country, payment method, provider, and compliance checks.
“The course didn't get me the job I wanted”
Months after the course ends, a student who hoped for a new career is disappointed. When they paid by card, that disappointment can come back as a card dispute.
When your student pays from their own wallet, they push the payment, and Zoyn does not reverse a settled transfer. A card-funded payment can still be subject to the provider's own dispute rules. Your enrolment terms decide what the tuition covers; Zoyn has no refund button.

Two limits worth knowing. If your own account with us is under review, automatic payouts pause until that is resolved. And a student paying by card can be declined, or asked to prove who they are, before the money is sent — a payment that doesn't happen, never money taken back from you afterwards.

Can I take the deposit now and the tuition later?
Yes, as two links, each a fixed amount. Every link is a single payment; there is no payment plan, no instalments and nothing charges automatically.
Can an employer pay for a student's place?
Yes. Whoever pays the link pays it once, for the amount on it. Send the link to the person or company actually paying.
A student left in the second week. How do I give money back?
A payment taken this way is a full payment, not a card hold, so returning any of it is a payment you send back yourself, under your own refund policy. Zoyn has no refund button.
What should I put in the link description?
Your invoice or enrolment number. Leave the student's name out of it.
What does it cost me?
A percentage of each payment, agreed with you in writing before you go live: crypto payments start at 0.75%, and card payments, if your business can take them, have a separate, higher price. No monthly platform fee and no setup fee. Network fees, and any extra charge for how your customer pays, are separate. Your customer pays them on top of your price and sees their total before they pay.
