Account statuses explained
Every state your account can be in and how to move forward.
Your account is always in exactly one of these states.
In review
Your application is submitted and in the review queue. The waiting screen checks your status on its own, and Zoyn emails you the decision either way. See Approval timeline.
Active
The normal state: links, payments, and every dashboard surface are available according to your team role.
Not approved
The application was not approved, and the screen shows the reason. You can appeal — the Appeal button opens a support ticket pre-filled with your application, and a reviewer takes a second look.
Suspended
Zoyn paused your account. New payment links are blocked while suspended; see If your account is suspended.
Closed
The account is closed. Sign-in and every dashboard surface end with it.
Closing starts under Settings → Close account, and everything up to the closing itself is self-serve. That page shows what closing would affect, counted from your account right now — live payment links, unpaid invoices, the addresses Zoyn sends updates to, live API keys, the checkout account you connected, and your branded payment domain. It lets you download a CSV of each of your records. And Give notice to close records your notice under section 11 of your merchant agreement, which you can withdraw at any time before the account is closed.
No support ticket is opened, and nothing on that page closes anything on its own — giving notice starts a conversation, and Zoyn confirms every step with you.
Take your records before your access ends. The downloads need you to be signed in, and the in-app contact form only answers accounts still affiliated with a live organization. That is why the Close account page offers an email route to support alongside the form.
Two things worth knowing before you decide: your payment links are paused, not deleted, so they can be switched back on if you return within 30 days; and money already settled is already yours, because Zoyn never holds it, so closing moves nothing.
