Payments for regional and commuter airlines

Take the full fare at booking, on every route you publish.

Regional and commuter scheduled airlines, short-haul feeder routes, air taxi services on a published timetable, seasonal and charter-to-scheduled route operators, and small carriers without their own online booking engine all take the fare in full before anyone boards. Get paid in stablecoins straight to a wallet you control, and a payment from a customer's own wallet cannot be pulled back through a card dispute.

Before you read on: we publish every business type we take and every one we refuse — 28 we take, 11 we refuse.

Why this trade gets flagged

A full fare paid up front by a first-time passenger, for a flight that might not run, is the shape a risk model is built to stop.

A modest fare is paid in full, up front, on a route a passenger may fly only once

A commuter fare is paid in full at booking, weeks or sometimes just hours ahead of the flight, and a smaller carrier without its own booking engine takes that payment directly rather than through a larger platform — which puts the risk of a first-time payer squarely on the airline.

Passengers can pay from their own wallet, or by card in countries where a card option is offered — whether a card works depends on where they are and on the card company's own checks. The money reaches your wallet once the payment has fully cleared, in the currency the link was set in.

A delay or a cancelled route becomes a dispute after the passenger rebooks another way

A flight is delayed, a route is cancelled for low load, or a schedule changes after booking — and a passenger who arranged their own alternative disputes the original fare weeks later, long after the flight date has passed and the money looked settled.

The passenger sends the payment themselves, and Zoyn does not reverse it once it has cleared, so a payment made from a wallet cannot be pulled back through a card dispute. Your fare rules, and the passenger-rights law that applies to your routes, govern delays and cancellations. Zoyn has no refund button: any refund you owe is a payment you send from your own wallet. Someone who paid by card or bank can still raise a dispute under that company's own rules.

Fares move with the route, the season and the load, and every booking is a fresh number

A weekday commuter fare and a weekend leisure fare on the same route are different amounts, and a seasonal route only runs part of the year — not a single fixed price a generic checkout can hold.

Each fare is its own fixed-amount payment link, priced and sent by you for that route and date.

How it works

One link per fare, priced by you.

1

Create the fare link

Fixed amount, with the route and date as the description. Send it from your booking page, your reservations desk, or a reply on however the passenger reached you.

2

The passenger pays

Card where available in their country, or from their own wallet.

3

The money lands in your wallet

Once the payment has fully cleared, in the currency the link was set in.

Common questions

What a regional carrier asks first.

My fares change by route, season and how full the flight is — is that a problem?

No. Each link carries its own amount, set by you when you create it.

Can I take payments on my own web address without building a booking engine?

Yes — the checkout can run on your own payment address.

A flight is cancelled — how does the refund work?

Your fare rules and the passenger-rights law that applies to your routes decide what the passenger is owed. Zoyn has no refund button: any refund is a payment you send back from your own wallet. The passenger sends the payment themselves, and Zoyn does not reverse it once it has cleared, so a payment made from a wallet cannot be pulled back through a card dispute. Someone who paid by card or bank can still raise a dispute under that company's own rules.

Zoyn is software. It is not a bank, a payment processor, a payment gateway, a money transmitter or a money services business. Zoyn is never the seller in a sale (the "merchant of record"). Zoyn never holds a shop's money, and does not decide how long a payment company may hold it. When a customer pays by card or bank, the payment company handles that payment under its own terms and may hold it for a short time. The money then goes to the shop's own payment contract once the payment network has confirmed it.

Businesses can be based in 64 jurisdictions. A US state stays open when at least one checkout partner still serves buyers there. Customers can pay from 130+ countries through the checkout providers we connect to; which countries customers can pay from is set by those providers, not by Zoyn, and may change without notice. Not available in sanctioned jurisdictions: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
